Is ROCK only for NUCs or can it be installed on a PC server?

I’ve read through the FAQ and looked around but I can’t find a direct answer so here goes: is ROCK only for NUCs or can it be installed on a PC server?

AFAIK It is designed and supported on a NUC, others have installed it on other types of pc but you are unsupported, search the forum for ‘mock’

No issues with my mock. As long as it’s fairly modern intel based motherboard I think you’ll be ok, some of the latest ones have network card issues as too new so no drivers but you can install a usb to ethernet to get around it. Mines a 4th gen i3 based none nuc based system .

Thank you both for the replies.

ROCK is an OS in itself, so by this, do you mean in a VM?

If so, then -

Thank you. I was thinking more about using ROCK as the OS on a purpose built PC with a standard motherboard.
