The “Track” setting does what @vladimirkl wants for the poorly mastered albums that are essentially like playlists. The downside is just that it has to be switched on whenever playing such an album
I understand the “problem” @vladimirkl is having. He doesn’t like the method Roon has chosen to calculate the gain level to play the album at when using the “album volume leveling” feature.
It seems that EBU recommends using the loudest track just as Roon does:
I just checked a dozen albums. All had RG track and album values added by either dbpoweramp or foobar2000, using EBU LUFS R128 more modern RG approach. All of these seem to have some “weighted” average for the ALBUM RG value. Said another way, NONE of these albums used the highest/lowest track RG value for the ALBUM RG value.

You confirmed my observations - so Roon does album gain incorrectly.
