Describe the issue

After a message that a backup did not work, I reinstalled the roon software, before I had previously renamed the old settings.
Roon now only shows me the internal music on the macbook, no longer the data on the synology DS214play network storage.
If I restore an older backup, will this connection be restored? Or do I have to add the connection to the network storage back first?
Thank you for the answer!

Hi @Guenther_Koch,
Restoring a backup should be fine as long as nothing on your Synology has changed.

Restoring a backup from an external hard drive does not work. It quits after about 60% – backup failed. What can I do?

We need to take a look at your Roon logs. Please use the directions found here and send over a set of RoonServer_logs to our File Uploader?

I’ve uploaded the files.

I found this in your logs. Can you check to ensure there is enough remaining space on your server? If that’s not the problem then your backup may be corrupted.

07/07 14:32:05 Warn: [backup] restore, manifest file is corrupt: b_20240620000001_[personal information removed] - System.IO.IOException: No space left on device : '/Users/guesmacbookpro/Library/RoonServer/.restore_tmp/Database/Core/'

Thank you Daniel! With more free space things go right

Great! I’ll mark this as solved then.
