ISP alerting me of constant hacking from various places
Describe your network setup
Xfinity on Imac
I am getting alerts from Xfinity that suspicious actors from various parts of the world are apparently attempting to hack in via Roon. I don’t use Arc and don’t think it is active. The only time I have ever got these alerts is when trying Roon again. I have been away for a year or so. Last time I also had these alerts and deleted my Roon as most answers seemed to be: “it is a bot random sweep and my ISP is over reacting” I do not want to invite any unnecessary vulnerabilities.
Thank you Mark, I was trying to contact support and did not realize it would create a community post. Go into Roon’s settings for ARC and enter a 0 as port number to disable the automatic port forwarding. You may also have to reboot your router. Else, inform your ISP that you are aware and no longer want the e-mails about Roon.
