Add option to Settings to allow album date sorting by “date recorded”
I would like to sort the album browser by recording date. The release date is used to sort albums when “Sort by date” is selected in the sorting dropdown in the upper right corner of the browser. The “date” can be only be set to “release date” or “original release date” in “Settings|General|Browsing Sorts”. There isn’t an option to use the “recording date”.
This tends to separate later reissues from the original issue. I’m not certain what the behavior is when reissues are combined into a version, but it probably sorts by the primary album’s release date, which puts the album out somewhere later in the browser than the recording date.
