Roon playing up. I use a Trigon server & PC with hardwired internet service. It's constantly asking for a backup. Backups not available message appears. Just now, it's saying Redirecting but nothing happens.

Several times this morning, desktop Roon tells me I have no music anywhere. Grateful for any pragmatic assistance.

Thanks for the details. Could you please clarify where your Roon Server is running — is it on your Trigon device or on your PC?

Also, when you mention that “the Trigon is constantly asking for a backup,” could you please confirm what exactly is showing that message? Roon itself doesn’t generate backup prompts like that, so it may be a system-level message from the Trigon device or its management software.

If possible, please check whether you see any error messages or warnings in the Roon app interface when the issue happens — for example, around your storage locations or connection to the Core — and share what you find.

Once we know where the Core is running and what the UI shows, we’ll guide you through the next steps.

Hi Vadim. Thanks for your note. In order;

Roon server running on Trigon machine. The PC has the app to connect to Trigon.

The issue seems to be intermittent faults that vary between what seems like different versions of Roon. This morning, I couldn’t see the drives. Half an hour later, I could. I click a folder, and it saying already loaded.

Did the uploaded image show in full?

Looks like Vadim isn’t around or is busy. Can anyone else chime in with suggestions, please?

Thanks for the update!

You could be experiencing database corruption - we’ve enabled diagnostics to take a closer look.

Typically, restoring from an older backup that predates the issues you’re experiencing can help. Is that what you’ve tried above?

Thanks for your note. I changed an external SSD. At the same, it appears that a Windows update blocked raatserver.exe I went through all the permissions and updated their status. It’s now been running for 12 hours and seems fine. Very happy. Regards, Rob.
