Hello @Geoff_Lust,

Welcome to the community! I know it can be frustrating when the library import process gets “hung up” on just a handful of tracks when the rest went through perfectly.

When a few files get stuck like this, it is usually because the background audio analysis process encountered a corrupted file, an unsupported format, or a temporary snag in the database.

Often, a simple restart of the background process will clear the jam and allow the import to finish.

  • Try restarting your Roon Server. You can do this by locating the Roon Server icon in your system Taskbar (on Windows) or Menu Bar (on Mac), right-clicking it, and selecting Quit.
  • Reopen the Roon Server application and give it a few minutes to see if those 7 tracks finally process.

If restarting the server doesn’t unstick those tracks, we will need to take a look under the hood to see exactly which files are causing the traffic jam.

Can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files. Thanks!

Hi @Geoff_Lust,

We’ve taken a closer look at logs to identify what’s happening under the hood here. Diagnostic logging shows repeating HTTP handshake failures with Roon’s image servers starting on April 18. This appears to have continued intermittently through logs since that time.

We also see RAAT logging packet loss due to local network instability. Roon Server is having a difficult time retaining its connection to networked endpoints.

Taken together, these symptoms generally suggest that something is interrupting Roon Server’s internet connection more broadly.

You mentioned you rely on a mesh network. Is your Roon Server machine connected to WiFi or ethernet? If ethernet, is it hardwired to the main router or to a mesh node?

What is the model of mesh network (Orbi, Ubiquiti, an ISP-provided setup, etc)? We can usually advise on specific settings to optimize the network for Roon.

We’ll watch for your reply. Thank you!

Thanks Connor

The Mesh system Iam using is a Deco M9 Plus, however I have managed to clear the 7 stuck tracks but obviously do not want this happening in the future when I go to load more files in

Hello @Geoff_Lust ,

Thanks for letting us know you’ve managed to clear the 7 tracks. Do you by any chance recall the artist/title of those tracks? I would like to see if diagnostics from your Roon Server had any indication as to the reason why they were stuck, we’ll enable diagnostics and look over the logs for the track title once you can provide it.

Sorry Noris

I never saw the titles of the 7 tracks that were stuck, just the fact that it was taking days to import 7 tracks from my library
