Describe the issue

Dear Sir/Madam

Just purchased a new Roon Core - NUC10, with passive mental case, 20GB RAM.

I bought from e Bay.

I migrated from Mac Mini Core - following your instructions to letter. I had an iTunes library connected to Mac, copied to external disk and plugged in. It is now analysing 3000 libraries.

The machine keeps switching off. If I leave audio analysis to throttled it does not switch off. But 2 cores or 4 cores it switches off quick. I am told you will be able to see this.

What is the fix please?

Best wishes

Andrew

Describe your network setup

ROON NUC connected ethernet to router, Auralic streamer, wireless, on hifi rack, USB into Chord Quest

Sounds like a heat issue and the NUC’s temperature sensor turning it off to protect the CPU.

Is the passive case the correct model for your NUC? Are the BIOS settings as specified by the case manufacturer? (E.g., some fanless cases require that turbo mode is turned off).
