Describe the issue

Roon remote freezing again....

Describe your network setup

Fritzbox modem, Asus xt12 Zen Wifi router, wired

Been here before. The last update looked like a fix, running smooth for a couple of weeks now. Until today. Same freeze, 0 albums. Clicking on focus totally freezes the remote on my Pixel7. Happened after playing an album, grabbing the remote to put something else on.

And again a few minutes ago :sob:

Hey @RM_Kamphuis,

Thanks for the report. If possible, could you send over a set of manual Roon logs from the affected Pixel 7? Steps for this can be found below:

Connect your PC to Android phone and install ADB (instructions are here (all platforms)). Then:

  1. Type adb shell in terminal
  2. Type logcat v (ref: Logcat command-line tool  |  Android Studio  |  Android Developers)
  3. Reproduce the problem and let terminal print logs for 3-5 more seconds
  4. Select output from the moment you started the reproduction of the bug till the very end
  5. Upload the log here and let us know once you have done so:

With that, could you also perform a hard reboot on your router? Leave it unplugged for a few minutes before booting back up. We’re seeing frequent network-based errors in relation to your server failing to shake hands with different services.

Do you have any additional network gear, or security within your setup that may be causing additional friction?

Thanks!

Hi Benjamin, setup everything but the terminal does not recognize the commands adb shell and logcat v.

Ah, the command you gave me is wrong. is is not type adb shell but ./adb shell
I will do this tomorrow after an album stopped playing. I’m out now!

Until now no freezes anymore. So nothing to record either. I will monitor the coming days.

After a router reset no freezes again. So problem solved!

Apologies for the lack in my reply @RM_Kamphuis, I’m glad to hear a router reset helped. Happy listening! :notes: :drum:
