Please describe the problem you are experiencing

Hello,

I have Roon Server on Wadax Reference Server.

I try to install the latest Roon Core version but it’s after installation my Roon stop working, I receive error message …

“there was an issue loading your library”

In order to resolve it I need to reset my core server, I try to do it few time without success.

In the software update section in the Roon configuration page I saw message

“there is a problem to check your update”

Please help me, I cannot update my Roon !

I now see that you have in fact opened a support request, but have not provided sufficient information to describe your issue. I will copy your opening post into the support request to assist the Technical Support team further. Thank you for your consideration.

Probably not directly helpful, but for it’s price you should be eligible to get in person assistance from the dealer’s specialist within the wink of an eye.

The Roon policy was changed, before 5 months ago they have support email and now they have only community support, it’s not reasonable because you pay a lot of money for the license and service.

It is NOT just Community Support though .

Official Roon Support Staff monitor these threads with tickets created and will respond when they reach it in their queue.

In the meantime the Community also has a chance to assist you to resolve the issues.

Sorry, but there was always only technical support via the Support category in the forum. The contact email was for other matters. And it is not “community support” in the sense that support is only from other community members. The Support category involves members of Roon Labs Technical Support team directly and is backed up by their internal ticketing system that is used to track issues.

… Snap! /10chars

Any suggestions?

It’s the weekend, so official support staff isn’t available until tomorrow.

This error message has recently appeared for several users:

It’s probably spurious and there’s most likely not actually anything wrong with the library, but this topic is best investigated by official staff when they are back in the office and your case reaches the top of their queue.

Check your network and reboot everything from the router inward.

If this doesn’t help and the update from within the Roon app continues to fail, some server devices may have an external way to update (e.g., RoonOS on the Nucleus can be updated through its web admin interface). However, I don’t know if there is such an option on the Wadax - this may be best addressed to Wadax support because the options of official Roon Labs support may also be limited on proprietary third-party servers.

Hello @oren.attias,

Thank you for your patience. We have reviewed your case.

After investigating, we were unable to retrieve diagnostic data from your Roon Server, which suggests that the Wadax Reference Server’s host system may no longer meet the updated software requirements introduced in Roon 2.65. Specifically, this release requires glibc 2.27 or later and OpenSSL 1.1.1 or later on Linux-based systems — details are available in the 2.65 release notes.

Since the Wadax Reference Server is a proprietary third-party platform, we unfortunately have limited ability to assist with updating its underlying OS or system libraries. We strongly recommend contacting Wadax support directly to confirm whether their platform has been updated to meet the current Roon requirements, and if so, to request that update.
