Sort by artist. Sorry, I usually include that but have gotten tired of showing it. 
Ok, same for me. I don’t trust the fact that it’s currently not reproducing for me, because it would be even weirder if you and I had different issues that look the same
98% (maybe 100%?) of the time for me, this doesn’t seem to happen until I play a playlist that has a lot of songs in it, even if just for a half hour of playback or so. Then, simply using Roon in any way shape or form will see the number incrementing regardless of whether I am playing from a playlist or not.
Just a note: if I “Select All,” I see this:
…but if I export that selection to Excel, it lists 5,472 albums. Here they are, but there is no pattern, rhyme or reason.

I've recently had problems with the Qobuz albums that I've added to my library doubling. If I restart Roon (on my NUC) it fixes it, but within a few days the number of Qobuz albums starts to gradually double. After a while, almost all Qobuz albums have doubled. They only appear twice if I'm in album view AND sort by artist. If I sort by album title, each album only appears once, which is correct. If I mark one of the album titles that appears twice, I mark both "editions".
So far, it seems that this only applies to my Qobuz albums, and not albums that I have stored locally.
What's going on here?

This sounds exactly like an issue some of us have been experiencing for a quite long time. There were several attempts to fix it and this is ongoing. The official tracking thread with the ticket is here:
