Describe the issue I have problems all manual backups are running fine since some days I can not backup the database and got the error. it was a manual backup started on the machine who is running the server even from tablet no success
Describe your network setup Mac mini on ethernet with fritzbox
Usually this is because the path of the backup location has changed or a permission issue.
I’d recommend a restart of your Roon server and try again
double check the path to the backup location - reselect the location again

Hello @carsten ,
Thanks for confirming the restart and that the backup path is still the same.
Before we enable diagnostics, please try one more quick check that often resolves this type of backup failure:
Open Roon → Settings → Backups → Scheduled Backups
Click Edit on the current backup location
Choose Browse and re-select the exact same backup folder again
(even if it looks correct — this forces Roon to refresh permissions)
Save and try a manual backup once more.
If the issue still occurs:
Please reproduce the backup error again
Note the exact local time when the error appears
(for example: 13:42 local time )
Reply back here with that timestamp, and I will enable diagnostics so our team can review what is happening during the backup attempt.
Kind regards,
Vadim

Hi @carsten ,
We haven’t seen a response in a few days to this thread. Do you require further assistance or did refreshing the target backup location solve this problem?
Without any confirmation, this thread will eventually auto-close under the assumption that the issue was resolved.
Thank you!
