Description Of Issue
Hello, since the last update few days ago I have a serious issue with TIDAL integration.
The search is really slow (except some random moments when it works normally), when i press play the song doesn’t start and roon says the track is not available from TIDAL/network error or even crashing the android and the windows app.
If I’m not logged to TIDAL and i use only the local files ROON works flawlessly.
I tried the usual solutions suggested on the various topics (logout-in tidal, restart raat server, restart the network, delete the Rock cache, tried google and Cloudfire DNS).
I had the same problem a couple of months ago with the previous build but it sorted by itself without my intervention (even at that time I tried all the usual solutions without success)
If you need the logs i can send the whole lot to you, I really hope this can be sorted.
Many thanks and best new year wishes
Luciano
Thanks for reaching out and for your patience here!
Let’s focus on this symptom here as it would be the most visible in logs.
Can you please note the exact local time + date + track that has this issue next and then use these instructions to send me a set of your Roon logs for review?
Hi Noris,
I managed to recreate the issue twice this morning 09/01/2021
9:34 track “From the kettle onto the coil” - network error on the Digione endpoint
9:36 track “Weareserpents” track not available from Tidal on the Usbridge
Open Roon on the other PC you wish to try as the Core
Roon Settings → General
Disconnect
On the “Choose your Core” screen, press “Use this PC”
If asked to Unauthorize, you can go ahead and do so. You are limited to one active Roon Core at a time but you are free to switch between them as often as you’d like.
Verify if the same behavior occurs on the different PC
Hi @noris since Monday everything seems back to normal, I haven’t noticed any dropout/skip for the whole week. In case the problems will occur again I’ll try to change the core as you instructed.
Thanks
