It’s possible I may have a problem

Is there such a thing as TOO much audio equipment?

If that is a problem then I have it too. Three systems in three rooms plus three sets of headphones and only one head to put them on.

Hmmm… I tend to nurture one of each (main rig, headphone nook, bedroom boombox) and slowly massage them to perfection.

I like the mess. Although the Apple Watch does not really count…

Well…the sonos pair on the other side of the room makes having the Apple Watch useful since you can control the Sonos app with the watch.

That’s just my bedside rig.

LOL, if there is I am in a LOT of trouble, I have four headphone amps and five headphones just at one of my three different listening stations… Not to mention all the “back-ups” and “should sell, but don’t want to” equipment…

I think you are looking at the problem from the wrong angle. I don’t have enough rooms in my house for all the equipment I have: that is the problem! :grinning:

We’re gonna need a bigger boat.

Or all the “I loaned that out to…” stuff. The equipment I’ve lent out would make a pretty respectable stereo system.

Right, it’s about attitude!
I’m not overweight, I’m underheight.

It is possible to legitimately squeeze several systems into the one room. In the living room, the wife finds the hifi too complicated to use, so I built her a Roonspeaker from a Pi with IQaudio Amp+, making use of a spare PMC centre speaker I had lying around (like you do…). Works a treat and she can drive it all from her iPad.

You can have too many shirts, too many shoes but never too many guitars or too much Hi Fi lol :joy:

Gibson Les Paul Standard in the main bedroom, Epiphone Casino in the middle bedroom, Fender Strat in the living room and an Ash Telecaster in the garden hut… Oh nearly forgot about the Steinburger in the garage…

Good man…

Taylor Big Baby in the bedroom, GS Mini downstairs, Taylor Solidbody and Japanese Epiphone of 1970s vintage in the basement. Yeah.

I hope you guys play them too…

Poorly. Very poorly. But, yes, I do.

That’s always good to hear, it doesn’t matter how good or bad anyone is, we are always looking for the next level. It’s a bit like chasing HI Fi perfection I suppose lol

If I didn’t, that’s a lot of tied up money that could be spent on a new DAC. LOL
