iTunes Playlist no longer shows up

Describe your network setup

I moved my iTunes playlists (XML) to the desktop, and as expected, they no longer appeared in Roon’s playlists. However, after moving the XML file back to its original folder, the playlists still didn’t reappear. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hi @mitchell_lim ,

If you try to perform a Roon Settings → Storage → 3-dot menu → Force Rescan, does that allow your playlists to show up properly again? Under the Edit button in the same location, do you still have Import iTunes Playlists checked to yes? If the issue is the same after, are there any screenshots you are able to share of the XML contents and the directory structure?

Yes … I have done all that … still not showing up.

Hey @mitchell_lim,

Thanks for the update!

As a next step, it may make the most sense to create a fresh XML export after you’ve relocated your playlists, and re-import them into Roon.

Here’s more info on this:

Let me know if this helps! :raised_hands:

there are two ways to export ‘Library.xml’ :

Library > Export Library
and
Library > Export playlist

Which one should I export ?

Hi @mitchell_lim,
It all depends on what you want. If you want to import all of the music from iTunes use “Export Library”. If you only want specific playlists then use “Export Playlist”. Please let us know if you need help with anything else!
