iTunes Playlist problem

When I set up Roon using an NAS for music file storage, the CDs I’d ripped in iTunes over the years were made available in Roon by copying the “iTunes Music” folder to the NAS from my PC located elsewhere on the network. This folder did not contain the “iTunes Music Library.xml” file. Now I’d like to get my iTunes playlists imported into Roon.

Just copying the “iTunes Music Library.xml” to the same folder on the NAS where the iTunes music files are stored doesn’t work, even after I edit the storage location to turn on iTunes playlist importing.

Suggestions?

Hello, I wondering whether you solved your iTunes playlists problem.

I’m asking because my playlists in iTunes do not update in Roon.

There is no way to auto update Roon with iTunes playlist changes that I know of. They are not editable after import into Roon best I can tell.
