In the past, when playing Tidal tracks to my Chord Hugo & Headphones I would select JRiver MC23 as the zone. I am deaf in one ear and JRiver allows me to combine the L&R channels into one signal. It worked fine.
I upgraded to JRiver MC24 and now I get the following error message when I play a track: “Windows cannot find ‘C:\Program Files\JRiver\Media Center 24\Media Center 23.exe.’ Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.” Note the “23” in the exe file name. I still have MC23 installed and would prefer to not uninstall it.

You can navigate to the MC23 folder, create a shortcut and drag that into the MC24 folder. That might work. Or you can copy the MC23.exe file into the MC24 folder. But that might create other issues.
I decided to not copy exe files so I uninstalled MC23.
In the current version of JRiver MC24 (24.4.07) the WDM driver has been certified by Microsoft. So, now I have MC24 as one of the zones and it works fine. L&R channels are combined.
The only strange thing is that MC23 still shows up as a zone. And if I try to use that zone I get the same error message as in my first post. What controls the zones that show up?
You can disable a zone by clicking the ‘cogwheel’ icon next to your desired zone and pressing ‘Disable’. As to why it is still showing up, can you please confirm that you have restarted your Roon Application after removing JRiver 23, you need to restart the app after making any changes such as uninstalling devices for Roon to reflect the changes. Hope this helps.
