Help!
I’ve just installed a mesh wireless network in order to get wireless around the house. Now anything on the wireless network won’t connect to my Roon core. Any suggtestions what to do?
The default gateway on the mesh network is 192.168.68.1 whilst on my wired network is 192.168.1.1.
Any way to make this work? To be honest I’m pretty clueless with networks!
They do need to be on the same one to work. Not sure how to accomplish that on your setup.
If you give the exact details if your wired and wireless networking equipment one of the users may be able to help. Model numbers, what’s connected to what etc.
It won’t the way you have set it up currently.
I’m on Plusnet in the UK. Standard router (Plusnet HUB One) and using the TP-Link Deco 4 units.
Deco says
LAN IP: 192.168.68.1
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.68.1
Plusnet router says:
IP Address: 192.168.1.254
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
if any of that helps?
One TP is plugged into the Plusnet?
How many tp units?
I won’t be able to help but there are clever people on here.
Essentially you need to make both systems use the same address range, probably the Plusnet one.
In the Deco there should be a setting for the DHCP IP range. If you can find it, change it to:
192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254
This will put every thing on the same page.
Thanks all - I think I’ve sussed it.
Putting it in extender mode whilst leaving wifi off on the router seems to have worked.

Ha, just had a quick read if the manual. Yes AP mode is the way to go.
