I’m undecided on the aesthetic of the new KEF active. I’ll likely appreciate their design when I see a pair in person.
According to Darko.Audio, Roon will be on board in 2027.
I’m an LS50 Wireless & LS50 Wireless II fanatic but doubt I’ll get a pair of the LUXE.

KEF should fix LS50 Wireless II first and then introduce new models. Almost every time they update the firmware something is broken.
Currently DSD playback is partially broken with ROON, some HDMI contents are muted (some live DTT channels), and auto-switch to TV source is sloppy.
I give credit for having Qobuz Connect, though.
They fixed the DSD playback issue via Roon. Owning both a pair of LS60 Wireless and a pair of LSX II, I had issued support requests with KEF for both speakers separately in early May. They came back to me early July offering a new firmware for my speakers, which is newer than the official latest release on assets.kef.com. A gave them the MAC addresses of both speakers, the firmware was pushed, and now hi-res DSD up to DSD256 and DXD up to 352.8kHz can be played again without any problems.
The firmware I got for the LS60 Wireless is 3.0.132 (instead of the official 3.0.131) and for the LSX II is 3.0.138 (instead of 3.0.137).
If you own a pair of LS50 Wireless II, I trust they have an equivalent fix in stock for you.

Yes, I’m aware of your experience dealing with KEF’s support about the DSD playback. I’m confident that they’ll officially release eventually a fix for LS50 Wireless II (or, in case, I’ll ask them for early firmware access).
Still, I feel that software isn’t KEF’s forte right now.
Someone on Reddit said it looks like an engorged tick, and I think that’s pretty accurate 
Just pre-ordered a pair. Fan of the sound of the LS50 Wireless II and LS60’s so thought an upgrade was in order. Already have a KC62 sub so all should be good. Noticed they were “Plays with Audirvana” out of the gate so no issues for me with Roon Ready delays (I have a Roon sub in addition to Audirvana). Looking forward to delivery…
May explain why my local dealer has had 15% off KE deal running , I nearly went for the LS60 but saw sense 
The LS60’s are still a good streaming speaker, I offloaded mine when I wanted to try a grown up “Separates” system. Spent a lot on Chord Electronics streamer, bridge, DAC and Amp plus some B&W 703 S2’s and to be honest whilst the sound signatures were different I did not feel that I gained anything over the LS60’s.
There is a lot to be said for getting the engineers to design the whole system, takes some of the potential for pairing errors out of what is an expensive hobby.

I hope they produce color-matched stands in the future. I have white for my mineral white LS50 Wireless IIs and wouldn’t want black.
I wouldn’t hold out too much hope for that. The base of the speaker for all the colour variants appears to be black for a reason i think. Ordered the black, despite preferring the dusk titanium, for that very reason…

I was at the LS Luxe London launch event. They are much better than LS50W2 especially in immediacy and dynamics. Vocals are much more beleivable. Everything is more engaging. LS60W still much better if you like the big speaker sound (and I do). I own LS60W, LS50W2, LSX2, LSX1. BTW Luxe look great in real life, I will buy a pair.
Kef is still working on the problem with Roon and their LS60’s. It’s not just DSD, it’s everything I play from Roon it’s distorted. Qobuz Connect and other sources play perfect. I’m working with Kef support on this issue, applied 1 fix which didn’t help.
Sorry I just caught this , are you having a distortion problem with specifically Roon & LS60 ?
I bought a pair of LS60 but I took them back, I couldn’t get on with the distortion, I assumed it was poor recording quality being exposed by a “good system” . I listen 100% headphones and often get albums that are so bad as to be unlistenable. So I made the decision against the LS60 and returned them while I could.
Looks like I missed a trick if Roon is misbehaving with the LS60. I also missed a 20% discount as they are now back to normal price !!
Must admit I am not keen on the aesthetic,maybe look better on a dedicated stand. I have the LS60 in a second system,always performed flawlessly and are a beautifully designed speaker.. I am always impressed by the sound they make so wouldn’t be tempted to. KEF are an innovative company,those little subs are things of wonder,so I expect that the new speakers sound great.
