KEF LS50W II left speaker not connected anymore

Hi,

today the left speaker stopped playing music from any input.
Only the right (primary) speaker still works.

The speakers are connected with the supplied Ethernet cable.
The WiFi connection works, however. But i don’t want to go the WiFi route.

I already tried to reset the (primary) speaker and unplugged both power cables to no avail.

Does anybody know what to do next?

Thanks,
Art

The only thing left to try is replacing the ethernet cable that runs between the speakers to see if it (hopefully) went bad. If that does not help you need to contact KEF. Wifi is only connecting the main speaker. You still need a physical connection to the secondary speaker.

Hi John,

i forgot to mention that i exchanged the Ethernet cable, too.
So i will contact KEF for further support.

Thanks,
Art

The II version can have the speakers connected via WiFi. It’s how mine are setup.

@Art_Drugal I presume you have used the app to change the setting from WiFi and back to wired, when checking if WiFi works?

I was unaware of that. Good catch. I guess in the first version (which I have) the slave speaker is dumb and can’t do anything without being physically connected.
