Curious if anyone else has this “problem” (more of an inconvenience, but if I can get it to stop that would be great). I’m on a Framework 16 with Fedora 40 and running roonserver
as root, installed from easy installer script. I have the laptop connected to a CalDigit TS4 dock which is where my external monitor, keyboard, mouse, ethernet, and a Chord Mojo 2 DAC are all connected. I turn off the Mojo at night because idk it seems like a sensible thing to do.
Whenever I turn the Mojo back on, after it goes through its startup cycle and I hear the audible click of the DAC engaging, my keyboard stops working. Mouse is fine, monitor’s fine, network connection is fine, etc. I just have to unplug the usb cable from the keyboard and reconnect it and start working again. I’m just confused about why this is happening in the first place. I’m sure this isn’t specific to Roon because even if I’ve stopped roonserver
from running it still happens.
Maybe I don’t know enough about Linux’s USB internals to understand the problem, but I was hoping someone here can at least tell me why it’s happening, even if it’s unavoidable.
Thanks for any input or discussion here,
Cheers
