I’m trialling Roon on a Mac Mini. I’m also using the Apple Siri Remote connected via bluetooth. This isn’t natively supported by Apple but you can use BetterTouchTool to remap the remote buttons to any keyboard shortcuts. I’ve successfully done this but the volume up/down keyboard command ⌘-up and ⌘-down change the volume in 5db increments which is sometimes more than you want.
Would it be possible to have a second keyboard shortcut (not to replace ⌘-up and ⌘-down) that only moves it in 1db increments?
Great! command-shift-up does indeed work for volume in 1db increments… nice find and thanks a lot. I wonder how many other “hidden” shortcuts there are… is there some kind of expanded list?
In case anyone else is interested, this is how I have BetterTouchTool set up to use the Siri Remote to control Roon in the Mac Mini. Of course there’s a million variations you could do according to your taste.
I did not use Roon for a while, but have now got a nice setup again and installed Roon on my iMac.
I have an old Squeezebox classic, and it connects to the Roon server fine.
The only thing I noticed, relative to a couple months ago, was the volume adjust increments.
When using the keyboard (⌘-up and ⌘-down), it now moves +1dB, relative to +5 earlier.
I would like to adjust it in +5 increments. Is this possible to get back, or is it “locked” to +1 in this version?
