Kiss… I’ve finally figured out how to keep my system running without issue. Expecting numerous pieces of hardware and software from various sources to work seamlessly together without issue is just about the same as expecting to win the lottery. I lost sight of what I really wanted and was spending too much time chasing the “perfection dragon” instead of just sitting back and enjoying the music. I simply had too much going on. “Fixes” and “patches” seem to work until something is changed and then it starts all over again. More “fixes” and “patches” it never ends. I cleaned up and got rid of the “bell’s and whistles”. Now I just sit back and enjoy the music. Keep smiling… it’s always a good day for something…

Funny you should mention this, I thought a similar thing the other day when I was tagging some new music, applying replaygain, converting a copy to ogg for portable use when out walking and I have restricted storage… Doing backups …
I just shut the laptop and thought it was too labour intensive.
I’ve subbed to Tidal for a month, to have a tagging and library detox, will just use Tidal app and Tidal through WiiM, have switched off my NAS and NUC for a month and will just listen to music.
