Hello @Neville_Yeung,

Thanks for reaching out.

Could you please try performing a Library Cleanup as shown in the screenshot below?

Once that is done, please log out and log back in to your streaming services (Tidal/Qobuz/KKBOX) via Settings > Services.

Please let us know if that helps resolve the issue.

Thanks.

Thanks Alex. I followed your instructions but it didn’t help. Every track in the album is still not playable. Any further advice, help is appreciated.

@Neville_Yeung ,

Thanks for the confirmation.

Sorry it didn’t help.

Would that be possible for you to share with us a link to an album from KKBOX ?

We’d like to reproduce the problem on our side and look for a root cause or solution .

Thanks.

This is the album that I can searched in ROON. But when I checked against KKBOX app directly, I cannot locate this album anymore. very strange.

Hello @Neville_Yeung,

Thank you for the example. This explains the strange behavior you are seeing.

It appears that KKBOX has removed this album from their active library. When a streaming service pulls a title, the object sometimes remains in the Roon database temporarily. In this case, Roon likely attempted to find a metadata match from another available source (Qobuz), which is why you see the mixed branding on a track that is no longer playable via your KKBOX subscription.

Since the album is no longer available in the KKBOX app, it cannot be streamed in Roon.

Hi @Neville_Yeung,

We’re going to close this thread out, but to summarize what’s happened here for posterity:

Roon relies entirely on streaming service APIs (like the Tidal API, Qobuz API, and the KKBOX API here) to display content. Sometimes, services update their APIs after they make the corresponding update to their native catalog. Content can appear in Roon for a short time because the API hasn’t fully cleared it yet. The metadata is still visible, but the underlying streaming content no longer exists. The “KKBOX” label followed by “Qobuz” in the format usually reflects metadata sources and isn’t related to playback availability, but it’s still a consequence of the KKBOX source suddenly disappearing.

Our team is always working to make this behavior more reliable. In some cases, you can force Roon to refresh your library by going to Settings → Services and syncing each streaming service.
