KKbox application experiencing playback failures with certain albums (ref#1TIVLR)

I play lots of streaming music albums via Tidal, KKBox, and local music files daily. However, some KKbox albums cannot play as expected.

In KKBox, if the selected album has an issue, it always has the same error “Too many failures”. In that case, I suspect it may be due to KKBox server. Then, I tried to use the KKBox desktop app or Android app, the same album can be played and streamed.

I suspect it may be due to Pi3 hardware or network. Thus, I tried out streaming it locally on my PC speaker. The same issue remained.

I want to help Roon to identify the issue as I have seen a few posts saying the same issue. You may try out the following albums and hopefully, Roon can see the same issue.

Album#1: Ni Men De Xing Fu
Album#2: City of Glass

In fact, many other KKbox albums can be played without issue and I am very happy that Roon can integrate with KKbox since I can play many popular Cantonese music from the KKBox.

Would Roon support team please look into this streaming issue?
This issue is repeatable and still exist.

Thanks for reaching out with your report and the screenshots of the affected albums. I was able to reproduce playback errors on my end as well, I am checking with the team to see if there’s anything peculiar about these albums and we will let you know once we have more info to share. Thanks!
