If you check the other profile setting do you see it as connected on last.fm?
While having seen complaints from other user’s, my wife’s playback doesn’t hit my last.fm account

Thanks for writing in! @Michael_Harris makes a good point above - are you able to review the profile in question, and confirm if you’ve potentially linked the last.fm account to this profile as well?
If not, please sign out of last.fm completely, then safely stop Roon Server from running, and reboot your device. Afterwards, log back into last.fm from your primary profile, and see if the same issue occurs.

Last.fm was not linked in the problematic profiles, but logging out of the profile where it belonged and then rebooting the Roon server and re-adding it seems to have fixed it – I can now play from the non-linked profiles without scrobbling to last.fm.
If only I had noticed this before streaming a week’s work of Christmas music!
