Last name sort when there is a special character

I cannot get Roon to sort by last name when there is a special character (other than letters) in the last name. For example Anita O’Day shows Roon sort as O’Day, Anita, but it continues to show up under A rather than O. I am experiencing this with any last name that includes an apostrophe or dash. I have tried editing it to my sort with O’Day, Anita but it still doesn’t work.

Try to change the sort to “ODay, Anita”, it might help.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already tried that and it didn’t work.

The only thing that I could get to work was to create a new artist with the last name first but that isn’t a good option to me.

Sounds like a bug to me. I’d suggest posting in Support so that Roon staff sees it and can investigate. (Though at the moment they might be a bit occupied with the Qobuz issue)

I remember a similar case with my library. After a reboot of Roon Server, the change was implemented and the sort order was correct.
