Let down by Arc (again)

I am not too serious here, and I entirely take your point. However, ARC seems to be unique in being clearly separate from mainstream ROON (the clue is in the fact that it has a different name and app), and in taking up a lot of developer time.

I would be, if only I could be.

Same here and when away from home I operate exactlyy as I did pre-ROON. I still subscribe so that implies ROON is still valuable to me. However, it might be considerably more valuable if a) ARC had been designed with people in my situation in mind, b) the development time spent on ARC had gone into making ROON itself even better.

ARC is disappointing for sure. The app is usually unavailable when I do try to use on the road (just to check in on it), I always have to change router settings to match roon in my case, not sure why it changes after getting it working? there is probably a fix for that, but the app is weak through car play, i.e., no easy way to add a song to a playlist or as a favorite. To start music playing requires far too many taps / selections. I just use Tidal via car play for a much better experience.

sorry for long delay but engineers at Macintosh Hdqtrs in Binghamton NY told me I have the equivalent of a 60000$ home system something my CFO would never allow— you have no idea what I went through to get a Schiit Yggdrasil DAC and Ragarnok 2 (just the amp)with Legacy Audio HD Stereo monitors!! PLUS what she said to me when I paid 500$ for ROON “lifetime” subscription at my age!!
again sorry for the delayed answer AND don’t get Jeep Hybrid 4Xe Overland despite the Macintosh system!! bobbmd
