Let's Talk about what's Moving and Grooving you today! [2024-04]

Does anyone remember these from the 80’s? I used to love this album back in the day, can’t even remember the last time I listened to it!

She sounds like she’s been listening to Stereolab on this one. Bass feels like it’s knocked straight from the lab.

Early start today as i am still stiff from my gardening exertions yesterday. Plus weve got heavy rain and its going to be another 24 hour + session of wet.
starting with a rare underground funk gem, Eugene McDaniels, Headless Heroes Of The Apocalypse. A controversial album at the time. Still so in some parts of the world.
Theres plenty of psych guitar in this gem.
Norman Whitfield would be proud of this slab of psychedelic soul.
Its also quite a line-up on the album.
Those who like heavy duty psychedelic soul, check out the sublime psychedelic soul double CD by the temptations. This is essential slow burn heavy psychedelic soul. Theres none better.
Dont forget Eugene McDaniels.

Saw them on this tour. Girlschool supported and blew them away.
They were days of brilliant support bands

I might have to set up a crowdfunding page if the list gets any longer!

Were you successful?

Yes, I do. The last time I was listening to them was about 1 year ago.

Replaced a powernode with a Matrix mini i3 and my Naim NAP 100, having a little evaluation session :grinning:

The NAP was supposed to be a stop gap but I think that the gap has been filled. Bass and guitar picking both present and correct.

Still looking for a copy of Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots at that shop.

Don’t forget to visit the oldest record shop in the world as well. Spiller’s has better prices than Kelly’s

Kelly’s tried to overcharge me by £10 :face_with_monocle:

They wouldn’t have it. Had to use a calculator

I was correct as normal :innocent:
