There are still some modern day guitarists who go “straight in” with possibly one/ two pedals max.
I never could get into the modern day “modelling” phenomenon tbh.
JHS created a blues-rock pedal board a few weeks ago. In the video, he illustrates the sound of many players in their unique choice of effects. Modelers have gotten better over the years. Fender makes that little one that plugs into the output jack of a Strat (etc).
