We’ll need more information to take action on this post.
Verify that you are signed into any streaming services in Settings → Services and resync your library there.
If you rely on network storage location for your local library, verify that you have toggled on local network permissions in MacOS Sequoia System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network.
If you are still having an issue after this, please share a screenshot of any errors you’re encountering in Roon, along with a screenshot of your Watched Folder path in Storage.
If you are hosting a Roon database on a laptop, hardwire it via ethernet to main router for testing.

without changing anything, I have just opened Roon, added my synology music folder as my watched folder, and Roon is now happily building a new database from scratch.
Yesterday Roon couldn’t see anything within the synology/music folder. Today it can see everything.
Why would the database be deleted? What caused this? As I have some 60,000 music files it’s going to take quite a while to rebuild

Do you have a backup you’re able to restore from? That way, you wouldn’t be starting from scratch.
Feel free to use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader and we can take a closer look.
