From my long-ish experience with Roon>Linn (4 different Linn systems currently)
- The older (Linn Streaming) Roon>Linn connection method seemed quite sensitive to reboots & the like, maybe because IP addresses get changed when devices come up and ask DHCP for an IP address. I resolved most of those issues by assigning fixed IP addresses to the Roon server and Linn endpoints, but now and then would still need to power-cycle the Linn endpoint, for example after coming back from time away.
- For Roon Ready Linn endpoints, that does not seem as much of an issue. In any case, if you can tell your router set up fixed IP addresses, why not?
