Linn DSM/3 Disappeared from Roon Setup Suddenly (ref#X4RK65)

What best describes your playback issue?

· My DAC, streamer, or speaker doesn't appear as a Zone in Roon

What type of Zone is affected by this problem?

· *Network Zones* are affected.

Is the affected network Zone connected with Ethernet or WiFi?

· WiFi

Which network audio protocol is the Zone using with Roon?

· RoonReady

Does the device show up at all in Roon Settings -> Audio?

· No, it does not show up there

Does the device play audio from another source when using the same connection?

· The device has no problems with another audio source

Have you checked that Roon is whitelisted in any firewalls?

· I've checked the firewall and the issue remains

Since you are using a network connection to the device, please ensure that your RoonServer is on the same subnet as the device

· My devices are on a single subnet but is not visible to Roon

Do you have a complex network setup?

· Both the device and RoonServer are connecting to a *single router*

Try to disable any additional networking interfaces on your RoonServer machine.

· Disabling network interfaces had no change in behavior

Check to make sure RoonReady mode is selected on the device.

· I've checked this and the issue remains

If the device has multiple output options, do the other options work as expected?

· Multiple output types are affected

Is the device using the latest firmware as per the manufacturer?

· Firmware is up-to-date but the issue remains

Do you have an approximate timestamp of when the issue last occurred?

· No timestamp available, the issue is existing since about two weeks now…

What are the make and model of the affected audio device(s) and the connection type?

· Audio device as mentioned above is LINN DSM/3 running on latest firmware; router is a Fritz!Box 7590AX also running on latest firmware using WiFi-5 on 5GHz, Signal strength is67% with 585 Mbit/s

Describe the issue

My Roon setup was working flawlessly for more than two years but suddenly the Linn DSM/3 disappeared and even AirPlay2 is not possible any more.
My setup: Roon server 2.0 (build 1490) running on Mac Mini (2023 M2, Sequoia 15.2), software serial F2A74E50-56BC-4D67-BF07-342917F6095B, Linn DSM/3 (firmware 4.108.550 - setting for Roon Protocol is “Roon Ready”).
I have logged out and on, restarted all systems including router several times without any success. On my Linn account my DSM/3 is shown as “online” and I can change all settings so the Linn is definitely connected, I can stream music via Tidal and Qobuz apps via AirPlay2 but my Roon app is not even showing my Linn via AirPlay.

Thanks for reaching out to us to ask about this issue. To help narrow down the source of the problem can you please test whether the problem persists if you connect the Linn directly to your router? Have you had problems with any of the other devices on the mesh access point?

Thanks a lot for taking care of my issue! I tried your hint below and connected my Linn directly to the router via CAT8 cable, nothing changed, so obviously no network issue.
What I did in the meantime is a rollback of my latest OS update on my Mac Mini (with the help of a local IT expert) and … the Linn was back again! So it seems the latest update to Sequoia 15.2 has changed something in the settings. Not sure yet what caused the issue but I’ll find out and let you guys know. Pretty sure I am not the only one with this problem.
