Albums donāt seem to be removed after playing them on Arc or Roon itself.
New Bug?
Like many others, I used to add items to my library with a tag, listen to it, decide if I wanted to keep it, then removed the tag. Listen Later seemed a better solution. I currently have 53 items in my listen later queue, all from Qobuz and not yet added to my library. The problem is that when I click on some of these items, I am told that the album was not found. The album is indeed in Qobuz. I can find it again, add it to listen later, and listen to it. I then have 2 identical looking entries in the list, one of which works, and the other doesnāt. I can use the 3 dots to remove the bogus entry. It seems like after initially adding the entry, something changed (at Qobuz?) and the link from the list to the streaming service broke. This has happened to quite a few items on my list. This bug makes using Listen Later harder rather than easier than using my old process. Hopefully it can be fixed soon. This was a great new feature.
this new feature! I just started using Listen Later over the past few weeks and it has saved me a lot of confusion in my library. I used to add an album Iād find on Qobuz to my library so I could listen to it later, but then Iād end up with a lot of albums to remove, or forget I added them. (Once they scroll off the expanded ārecently addedā list, theyāre as good as forgotten to me.)
This cleans up so much clutter! And itās perfect to look over the list when I donāt know what Iām in the mood to listen to. If I really like something, Iāll either buy it as a download, or add the Qobuz version to the library until I decide if I want to buy it or not.
I have had this once or twice also, but Iām not (yet) a heavy user of Listen Again. I think youāre correct in that there was probably some change with Qobuz that caused it to go missing. I didnāt think much of it beyond being a Qobuz fluke but, if it happens again, Iāll report back here with the details.
Whatās more annoying right now is that for playlists Iāve made that have a few Qobuz tracks added, occasionally a few of those tracks will go MIA. But thatās not a Roon problem. Usually the version on Qobuz has been replaced by another, and I have to make time to refresh the playlists from time to time.
I thought I had managed to remove one of those ghost entries before, but now I am failing. Clicking on the 3 dots next to the entry leads to the album not found message.
Adding to the other issue I see people having with listen later, I added an album, listened to part of it in one zone, finished it in another, and now it stubbornly stays on the list. Clicking into the album shows it is not set for listen later. Clicking the 3 dots for that entry gives me the option to add it to listen later but not remove it. If I add it again, I get a 2nd entry for the item. Removing it again removes just one.
This is going to be a great feature when these few bugs are ironed out.
