Iâve got an Artist that canât be removed so there are still definitely bugs to be sorted out. No updates on the bug report and database submission filed a few months ago.
I find adding an album to a custom âListen laterâ tag 5x more enjoyable when comes time to listening to these albums â the Albums list view is simply vastly superior to the rudimentary Listen later view.
The extra 3.2 seconds it requires to add a tag rather than clicking on Listen later is well worth it when comes the time to actually enjoy these newly found gems.
Iâd otherwise be a fan of Listen later as long as:
- It has the same Albums list view: tile based with filters, etc.
- We can add an album to Listen later from the Now playing screen â the amount of good music Roon play automatically is impressive. When something is really good Iâd love to add the album to Listen later without having to do 7 clicks and back and forths
The Album Page is readily available after pressing Play from the Listen Later list. Two clicks ⌠Now Playing, and then the album entry.
Then I misexplained: I meant the Albums listing page. The tile based one. Not the Album page. Will edit my post. Thank you!
I think he means that the album view page based on a tag that means âlisten laterâ, is much preferred to the Listen Later list which is ârudimentaryâ.
I actually agree with this. Having a Tag means that in the Album oriented Tag view, you can use Focus. The Listen Later list only offers âFilterâ to do any sorting.
Thanks for the clarification.
Listen later can include artists and tracks as well, so it isnât strictly an album view.
Itâs good enough for me. Works well. Quick to add. I likes
True. And thatâs cool. But still, I would rather have a grid with square tiles for albums/songs and circle tiles for artists.
Too bad you canât mark anything thatâs currently playing to âListen laterâ. From there you can only add it to your collection.
Roon plays about 16 hours a day here. In all practicality, âautoplayâ is our main source of new albums discovery.
Just click on the song now playing then on the three dots. You can then select âadd to listen laterâ. ![]()
Thank you! Didnât notice
This is a useful feature. One I would definitely use if I was still a Roon subscriber. I actually have a âcheck out laterâ playlist in Apple Music. As soon as Roon supports Atmos from one of the streaming services, Iâll be back! ![]()
My ghost artist just re-appeared in my Listen Later Queue. It happened after I added an album for another artist to my library that had a Listen Later from Qobuz entry.
Please re-open this ticket:
Hey @DrTone,
I am sorry the issue has resurfaced almost out of the blue. Iâve reopened your support thread so our team can get back to you on it ![]()
Providing some non-bug related feedback: It would be great to have a âshuffle allâ option in Listen Later (or an auto-generated âListen Laterâ playlist from the albums that are in there).
You can Select All in Listen Later, add to queue, then shuffle the queue. It would be neater if LL just had its own Shuffle All play action, but the result is the same (provided that you clear the existing queue before doing this)
True, but like you said, itâs a bit wonky and unintuitive. Also, it doesnât work in ARC.
