Listening to Roon via HDMI from ROCK to AVR=dropouts?

Anyone able to use Roon via HDMI from a NUC to avr, without dropouts?

Yes.

Perhaps you could give more details on your AVR and setup and what formats you are playing?

If you require help from the support team, please open a support request in the Support category of the forum and fill out the issue report template with as much detail as possible. That will help Tech Support get you up and running again.

Thank you.

Can you be more descriptive concerning the dropouts? As in stuttering skipping etc…

What else is connected to your AVR via HDMI and turned on when this is happening.

Is the HDMI status indicator on the AVR flickering when these dropouts are occurring?

Sound goes in and out. The display on the AVR shows the input signal on and off. The Asus NUC is connected via HDMI cable to the Cable SAT HDMI input on the AVR.
Have a Sony hdtv conected via HDMI to the TV1 input on the AVR.
Now the puzzle, should I turn on the TV, the sound plays fine, no dropouts. :anguished:

Did I read that correctly that the sound plays fine with the TV on and the issues occur with the TV off?

Do you have anything plugged into the USB port on the TV?

Mike, yes sound is fine with tv on, turn the TV off, dropouts. never used the USB on the TV.

ok, asking because I had a similar issue years ago with a usb light strip on the back of the tv for backlighting. It came on when the TV was powered on and the music was disrupted with the HDMI status light flashing. When I disconnected the light strip the problem went away.

As a test unplug the TV power but leave the HDMI connected. I’m curious if the problem will still occur.

Mike, unplugging the TV causes dropouts as well as plugged in. THX
