This is from the Alfred Brendel Complete Philips recordings
there are 2 recordings of Liszt Piano Sonata in the set (Disc # 77 analogue & 78 digital ) , both report a total time of 1:00:33 whereas the sum of the movement timings is more like 30 mins
Well, yes, but it points to Roon actually summing all six because it thinks they’re part of the same work, rather than just being randomly wrong. I guess the code doesn’t consider the case where a work appears more than once in a set.
Looks like the compositions are unidentified? Have you tried identifying them? Also, you will probably need to set separate workid’s to distinguish them. Identical album titles in an album normally require that otherwise roon will concatenate them.
Having said all that, the only way I could get a similar Paul Badura-Skoda Qobuz album to separate a live 1965 and a studio 1971 performances of the Liszt Sonata was to unidentify the album. Seems like a similar case.
Yes, relatively so. And with a local file the solution generally is to set separate workid’s. But with streamed content, this is yet another thing you cannot edit so in those cases I find myself unidentiying the album as that can often yield better results as in this case. Roon / Qobuz integration frustratingly unfinished with many loose ends I find.
