Live radio loop issue with P8jazz Danish station (ref#IM6M1R)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

Tell us what's going on

· Loop seems to start when live radio is turned on. It starts live but after 10 seconds it switches to what has been played in the radio half an hour ago. I can see it on the live radio playlist. it is P8jazz danish radio. What to do?

· vpn doesnt matter. I have not changed anything router or anything the past 4 years. Zen mini, and qobuz is what I use.

It’s a bug in Roon that affects HLS streams with many chunks. It has been fixed in early release and should be in the next production release.

In the meantime, the mp3 streams will play correctly.

Thx Brian for your quick reply. (First time for me in this forum. ) Does that mean if i switch to the lower mp3 128 kbps it shold be working?

Do you know when it will be fixed?

The mp3 streams will be fine.

I don’t know when the next release will be out - weeks rather than months based on previous releases, but I don’t have inside information.

Confirming Brian’s explanation: this is a known issue with certain HLS live radio streams, and it’s already fixed in our 2.71 Early Access build (build 1674). We don’t have an exact date yet for when that reaches the general production release, please keep an eye on our release notes here for the update: Software Release Notes

In the meantime, as Brian mentioned, the mp3 stream for P8jazz should play correctly without the loop. If you’d like to try the fix now rather than wait, you’re welcome to switch to the 2.71 Early Access build: EarlyAccess: Roon 2.71 Build 1674 and ARC 1.81 Build 422 are Live!
