Internetradio KIM, Blueswave, VCR Auditorium, VCR Classica+, Radio ABF, Big Bang RadioThanks for raising attention, we’ve indeed just lost metadata on all 5 RTÉ stations. This is a tricky one as apparently we have been kicked out (IP filtering). I’ll see if a workaround can be found.

It’s fixed, metadata is back on all RTÉ channels.

As the streams are mp3 and have embedded metadata , there is no need for the Metadata Service to be involved (and as I don’t believe the M. Service can introduce a hyperlink for extra info on the now playing line - the mp3 metadata is all that can be used)
No problems. That works as well. But by using the API, you will get a lot of more information like images, star-ratings, artist details, next track to play and number of plays per artist and track.

There is a thread by @alec_eiffel who has asked for such improvements for a long time.
BBC has just changed the way it broadcasts metadata, work is in progress for a fix.
EDIT: I found a workaround, let’s see if it’s stable.
++++100 for better now playing meta data. I just started using Eter on my iPhone and it’s such a game changer to see album art from KCRW, Thr Current, the Lake Radio, New Sounds and more.

Following the recent fix of the “EOS/BOS flag” bug, several FLAC stations are available again with Metadata Service:

I had that Timeout error a few days ago with BBC Radio 3 - today, there’s no error, or metadata - just the station identifier.
Edit: ooh, metadata is now back after 15 minutes or so of playing Radio 3…
