Local albums disappear when grouped with Qobuz versions

Hi
I encountered a strange issue - before I file it as a support request, I’d like to ask the community for advice.

I have quite a number of CD-rips, that I have stored locally on a dedicated SSD of my NUC/Rock setup. When Qobuz offers a HiRes version of that very album, I usually add it to the library and group the various versions. That way, only one album appears in the library “album” view.

Then, a strange thing happens:

Of course, I still can see and access the different versions of the album, when I click on the very album and then, go into the “versions” tab. There, I see the Qobuz and the local versions.

BUT: When I go to “Focus” and limit the album display to just locally stored albums, these locally stored albums, that are grouped with Qobuz will not be displayed.
ALSO: when I limit the “focus” to both locally stored files AND the “album artist”, albums with an associated Qobuz version will not be displayed as well.

I then changed the order inside the grouping: usually, Roon will select the album with the highest bitrate as the “primary version”. If I manually change my CD-rip to be the primary version, with the Qobuz version being second or third in the group, and then set “focus” to locally stored albums, then these albums will appear in my album view. They also will appear, when I set focus to “local” and the “album artist”. But then, they will never appear, when I set focus to “Qobuz”, despite having a grouped Qobuz version.

Why is that? Shouldn’t Roon display all my locally stored albums, when focus is set to “local”, despite them being grouped with any Qobuz version, whatever “primary version” assignment is given this very album?

Thanks for helping me in the matter!

Okay, I just did some tests, and confirm that a local release will not be displayed when using Focus if there is a streaming version in the library.

However, clicking on Remove from group does result in the local album being displayed. But, of course, this removes grouping in the album view.

I think this is a regression. Since I don’t normally add streaming releases to my library, I’d like others to confirm this.

Tested with TIDAL.

This is correct since the logic is AND not OR.

Thanks for testing and confirming my observation.
To clarify the quoted answer: I meant, that focussing on “local” AND “album artist” (to maybe find, what I am looking for) NO LOCAL album of this very album artist will be displayed, as long as this local album is grouped with a Qobuz album as “primary version”.
The interesting observation for me was, that obviously, the “primary version” of the group decides, what will be displayed with any given focus. As I mentioned, you can turn that around by making a local album the primary version in a group - then you will end up not being able to display its Qobuz version.
