Description of Issue

My local Roon instance running on Windows 10 no longer has any local audio devices available - all network roon devices are working fine and are available. I suspect it’s some kind of a RAAT problem

@Richard_Mahiques, welcome to the Community. A fellow user here, but I had a similar issue this week with some W11 updates and a Roon update, I lost my USB connected devices on my Roon Remote PC.

Can you confirm that you have exceptions in your W10 firewall for roon.exe and raatserver.exe for Private access? Also I needed to reboot my W11 Remote PC at least once and the devices re-appeared when I opened Roon. You may need to reboot your Mac Core also if the PC Remote reboot does not result in your USB devices re-appearing.

Thanks for your response, Robert. I have the firewall on both my Windows 10 PC & the Mac Mini disabled. I did reboot both computers, but I will try it again.

I’ve completely removed and reinstalled both the Roon core on my Mac mini & Roon remote on my Windows 10 PC. I also installed and activated Roon just on the Windows 10 PC (all the local audio devices came up fine) but once I switched over to using the Roon Server all the local audio devices were gone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ben with the support team here, thanks for your patience while we work through each thread. I was able to review your account, and see that both your Mac core as well as your PC remote have been active and online recently. Are you still running into issues with your local audio devices?

To confirm, you switched back to your original Mac mini core when doing this? Do you by chance use any migration tools like Time Machine or Migration Assitant between your PC and Mac Mini?

I’d also give your SChiit Bifrost 2 & Topping D70S both a hard reboot in this process as well.

I found out the issue was a corrupt local user profile. After logging in with a new account, Roon worked properly.
