· “Did not find UPnP service with WANIPConnection on network”
Have you successfully located and enabled the UPnP or NAT-PMP settings in your router's web UI?
· UPnP is not listed in my router settings
· How would you like to continue with the network configuration? I would like to try and find a solution for UPnP/NAT-PMP on Roon Community
Describe the issue
I use tailscale. It was working. Seems to have failed with MacOS 15.4. I removed ARC from my phone and reinstalled (Apple app store). I can't log onto ARC on my phone - endless login loop with recaptcha failure.
Describe your network setup
Not using Port Forwarding as this capability is disabled by default, and I have not requested the capability. I have been using tailscale instead. MacOS 15.4 is where the roon server is running, and iOS 18.4 is where roon ARC is running.
We’ve enabled diagnostics for your account and reviewed the ARC logs. It appears that you successfully logged in and played music on your iPhone device. Could you kindly confirm if the issue still persists or if the functionality has improved on your end?
I can’t figure out how to get roon arc to work consistently with tailscale. Right now it is not working again. Not sure why. I’m in Singapore and it won’t connect. It says to check roon server settings. So on checking those tell me the same thing as before - “not ready”. It seems (right or wrong) that tailscale is not working properly. At least not with roon. But those settings have not changed - at least not by me. And I am the only one that has access. BTW tailscale does work absolutely seamlessly with plex with zero issues. I’m afraid if I can’t get roon ARC to work I’m going to have to give up on roon.
Hi @Simon_Tetley,
Since Tailscale is working well with Plex, it doesn’t sound like the issue lies with Tailscale itself. Just to be thorough, could you double-check that Roon Server is set to launch on startup? You can verify this by clicking the Roon Server icon in the macOS menu bar—make sure there’s a checkmark next to “Launch at startup?”
Can you share a picture of the screen that says that?
Hi there. I will have to check that when I get back from overseas in order to get the screenshot. I know it was set up like that and I wondered if the issue might be that the server IP address is not the same as the tailscale IP address. They are both configured to start on login, but roon starts first.
I don’t believe the IP address is the issue here—your Tailscale setup sounds similar to mine, and it works fine on my end. Since you’re currently away from your server, it’s possible that your computer ran into a hiccup that could be resolved with a simple restart. If you have a way to remotely restart it, that might be worth trying. Let us know how it goes!
