· “I created a new trial account on roon.app. When I try to login on both Windows client and iPad, it redirects to browser showing ‘Welcome back’ but then returns to the login screen. Cannot complete login on any device. Server is running on Synology NAS via Docker.”
Let’s try a clean start, as it looks like a network or volume configuration issue within Docker.
Step 1: Clean Reinstallation
First, please try to completely reinstall your Roon Server by strictly following the official Roon guide for Synology with Docker:
Installing RoonServer on Synology with Docker Note: Pay close attention to the network settings during setup. It is critical to use the Host network mode instead of Bridge, and make sure your Synology system time is synchronized via NTP.
Step 2: If the issue persists:
If you reinstall it and still get stuck in the same login loop, we will need to look at the logs to see what’s happening under the hood.
The easiest way to extract them is through the Synology DSM web interface:
Open File Station on your Synology NAS.
Navigate to the local folder you assigned to Docker during setup (usually docker/roon or something similar).
Look for the RoonServer folder, and open the Logs directory inside it.
Download the latest RoonServer_log.txt files (and a couple of previous ones like RoonServer_log.01.txt if available).
Once you have the log files, please upload them here so we can investigate further:

Let us know, please, how the process goes for you.
