Describe the issue

I am a new (trial) user. Roon server is running on my mac. When I start Roon it asks me to login (or sign up). When I login, it tells me I am already signed in and my subscription only allows for 1 Roon Server at a time: BUT I ONLY HAVE ONE ROON SERVER - this mac. I am so annoyyyyyyyyed! Please help!

Describe your network setup

home network. Linksys.

Click on Unauthorize.

Hi,

Sometimes Roon licensing server gets confused and thinks the current Roon Server is an additional different installation.

Just press the unauthorise icon, it’s quite safe, and then login as normal.

I have the same issue now and then. You would expect when you [unauthorize] it fixes the problem, but then suddenly after some days or weeks the same problem pops up again. Is there anything that can be done about this? I experience this behavior after moving my Roon library from my NAS to my Mac Mini using the Roon playbook for such library move.

Thanks. Clicking Unauthorise worked, which is worrying.

So, to activate Roon server I have to click ‘unauthorise’? Does anyone else find that counterintuitive? @Roon, how am I supposed to know that as a user???

Not so long ago, Microsoft got a lot of heat because to shut down windows you had to click the start button. Roon, what’s going on? This kind of annoying stuff in a paid-for app will not help your reputation (or your business.)
