Logitech Transporter power button and display standby function issues with Roon (ref#A9MWF0)

Describe the issue

1. Logitech Transporter power button
Power button directly on Transporter does not work with Roon. However power on/off works properly with IR remote ( with Roon server ). Any possibility to fix the button behaviour?

2. Logitech Transporter displays
A lot of users want to protect the Transporter displays and switch them off in standby.
Displays standby function can be set to a blank screen in Roon, unfortunately it's not the same as display off, the displays are still on and show some pixels ( line at the display edge ). However displays can be manually switched off by the Brightness button on the remote or by Brighteness button directly on the device ( with Roon server ). Any possibility to either change the behaviour of the 'blank screen' or add a choice 'display off'?

Describe your network setup

Roon core on Synology DS218+. Endpoints SB Transporter, Touch, Bluesound Node.
No streaming issues with this setup.

Hi @Jan_Beranek ,

Welcome to the forum!

Can you please have a track playing, reproduce pressing the physical power button and let us know the exact local time + date + track playing when you pressed it? We’ll activate diagnostics for your account to see what command Roon picks up when you press the button to see if anything can be done.

I’m not sure what can be done in this area, but I will check with the team. Can you confirm the firmware version of the Transporter and exact model? Thanks!

  1. Track: Mark Knopfler / Our Shangri-La
    Date: 02/01/2025 dd/mm/yyyy
    Local time: 22:30
I pressed power button 2 times, no reaction.

  2. Logitech Transporter SE ( without Transnav knob )
    Firmware 87

Hi @Jan_Beranek,
We pulled your logs from your Roon server. It looks like you did a reinstall since providing us the timestamp to look at. Unfortunately this means we aren’t able to automatically fetch the logs for that timestamp. Did you keep the old logs? If so can you please send over the old set of logs to our File Uploader?

Hi Daniel, yes I moved core to the ssd, the old logs are gone. I’ll do a new test and inform you.

Hi @Jan_Beranek,
Okay we’ll be on the look out for your response with the results of the new test!

Track: Mark Knopfler / Our Shangri-La
Date: 12/01/2025 dd/mm/yyyy
Local time: 17:00
I pressed power button 2-3 times, no reaction.

Hey @Jan_Beranek,

Thanks for the timestamp! We were able to pinpoint the button execution in your Roon Server diagnostic report, and are curious - do you have exclusive mode enabled within the zone settings?

Are you able to test out both enabling and if enabled, disabling this setting and seeing if your issue persists?

If you haven’t yet, I’d also safely stop Roon Server, and power cycle your devices including the Logitech device.

We’ll be on standby for your reply! :raised_hands:

Logitech Transporter is the only device in the zone. I don’t see exclusive mode selector in Transporter menu ( Bluesound Node streamer does not have this choice either, only the USB PC output does ). Looks like I’m not able to carry out the test you proposed.

I restarted both Roon core and the Transporter … no difference.

Hi @Jan_Beranek,

Just to do our due diligence you were looking in the device settings in Roon not a separate app for the Transporter?
