Hey @Jan_De_Prez,

Thanks for writing in and for sharing your report. We were able to review a fresh diagnostic report from your Roon Server, and the good news is that your Roon Server itself is healthy. It updated to 2.71 and has been running normally the whole time: your library loaded fully, the server stayed up for hours without crashing, and it’s checking in with our servers just fine. So nothing is broken on the Innuos.

What the logs show is that the problem is on the control side, the Roon app on your Windows laptop wasn’t able to connect to the server for a stretch after the update, which is why it looked like “nothing happens.”

When the Server updates to a new version, your remotes (the Windows app, phone, tablet, etc.) need to be on the same version ideally. Interestingly, the logs show your laptop did successfully reconnect to the server later in the evening, so it may already be working again for you.

Could you try the following and let me know where you land?

  1. On the Windows laptop, fully quit Roon (right-click the taskbar icon → Quit, don’t just close the window) and reopen it. Let it update if it offers to.
  2. Once it’s open, check Settings → About and confirm it shows 2.71 (build 1680) same as the server.
  3. Do the same on any other remotes you use (phone/tablet) so they’re all on 2.71.

If the app reconnects, you should be all set. If it still won’t find the server after updating, the next thing to check is the network path between the laptop and the Innuos, make sure they’re on the same network and that Windows Firewall or any antivirus isn’t blocking Roon on the PC.

Let me know how it goes, and we’ll take it from there. :+1:

Hi @Jan_De_Prez,

Just checking in on this, were you able to fully quit Roon on the Windows laptop, reopen it, and let it update if needed? We also asked you to confirm that the laptop and any other remotes are all on Roon 2.71 build 1680 in Settings > About, and if it still cannot find the server after that, to check that the PC and the Innuos are on the same network and that Windows Firewall or antivirus is not blocking Roon. Let us know where things stand and if the reconnect is working now.

Please note, if we don’t hear back from you this thread may close automatically soon. If the thread auto-closes and you need further assistance, please submit a reopen support request via the technical support help form below and specify that the issue should be reopened. Thank you.
