Seriously…WooTDaFook ? I did nothing to my network (wired or wireless) and after installing the update after getting sick and tired of the purple warning. I lose connection to my server and of course ARC won’t work either whenever this happens. If I pause a track (server connected of course), after a few minutes, I lose connection to my server as done does any peripheral Wirelessly connected devices (ipad’s, iPhones, and a Dell Laptop).
My Roon Server is a 2021 MacMini M1 Processor which is connected via Ethernet (RJ45) to my Cox Panorama Coax DSL Modem (1Gbit/s measured at the cable going into the MacMini. There is a NetGear 10 port switch/router that all my audio devices connect into including a Sony UBP-X1000ES, Bluesound Node 2i (DOA being replaced with a Cambridge Audio AXN10 Network Player, the MacMini/Roon Server, my PS Audio PerfectWave Transport (not the crappy PSA Bridge), and that’s it !
The Pain the Arse workaround is:
leave Roon Radio running off of my SS USB NAS that’s plugged into my MacMini M1 to keep the server connection and Roon ARC connection alive
If I don’t do step 1., I have to restart and/or power cycle my MacMini M1
So what did you Guys do that has screwed up my server connection ?
I did a full power cycle of of my Network and ALL connected Peripherals with no success.
As I understand, almost everyone who uses a server or remote on Macs with Sequoia has problems.
Thank to god I have Roon Server on NUC, so I can continue to use ARC/Remote on iPhone or FiiO. But if I want to stream music via my Mac, the only way to solve the problems is to completely uninstall and reinstall the program. After that, everything more or less works until the mac is shut down. After switching Mac on I have to reinstall Roon from scratch.
The most interesting thing is that Sequioa sees the server in finder perfectly well, so the problem is definitely not in our networks, but in the Mac version of the program.
Diagnostics indicate that there’s a second active subnet in this network topology. Roon controllers might be occasionally attempting to reach RoonServer across subnets, which is unsupported.
What is the model of switch in this setup, and is it a smart or managed switch?
Sorry for any confusion here - were you able to review your network devices list to confirm all your Roon devices are running on the same local subnet within your network?
Let me know your findings, and if your server and remotes are all on the same subnet. Thank you!

A good next step here would be to access your router settings, and review your active device list - this will help you see if you have devices running on separate subnets. General steps include:
Open a browser and enter the modem’s default gateway IP
Use your admin credentials (found on the modem’s label or set by you).
Navigate to the connected devices or network section.
When you’re here, if capable, try to get all your devices on the same subnet and see if your issues persist.
