Lost all audio device in Roon for my PC - Windows Fresh install

I just reformat my PC and to my surprise when I install Roon I cannot found my audio device for the PC. All drivers are installed and the sound is working in Windows 11 but no audio device in Roon. So I uninstall Roon and redownload the latest version which to my surprise also include the Roonserver (I prefer the old way) seperate installation for Roon and Roonserver.

I use a NUC in the living room as the Roon Core.and only use Roonserver on the NUC. But both the Roon and Roonserver were installed.

Since I have no audio device detected on the PC I decide to uninstall all the roon software on both PC and NUC. I know I lost everything but couldn’t find the solution.

I have delete all the Roon, Roonserver, in the C:\Users\username\AppData\Local

Reinstall Roon on the NUC and only start Roonserver.I wont use Roon on the NUC (why we need to install both now ?

It would be nice to have option during installation of Roon (Roon only (client), Roonserver)

I reinstall Roon on the PC another time. Connect to the Core on the NUC.

I still don’t have any audio device for the PC in Roon. I see all the other device (DAC streamer, Etc,)

Am I the only one loosing PC audio device in Windows 11 ?

I also have some backup but none of them work to restore Roon. I already lost all my playlist and settings in Roon but I can live with that but I want to get the audio on the PC to work with Roon.

I am really need in help here because I can’t think other solution.to fix this.

I have 2 device but none are working, I should see device with WASAPI and ASIO but they never show,

I have unfortunately no idea why your devices don’t work.

When it comes to Roon itself. Everything comes as one package these days. But the server part isn’t activated if you have your computer connect to another Roon server.

As a test, turn off your Firewall on the PC, do the devices show up? Then turn the Firewall back on and add Roon, RoonServer, RAATserver, basically any “roon” or “raat” programs to the exceptions list.

Well after I wrote here I had a flash to check Eset Network protection and some ports were block. So I put the firewall in learning mode for an hour. And right after I start to have notification with new rules accepting the communication. By magic my soundcard on the PC show up.

Well I should have think about it a couple of hours before I uninstall everything. Well I just need to redo my smart playlist and start to put some on my favorite tracks to let the smart playlist do is magic ! Many hours of listening for the coming weeks…
