Hi, @Ron_Dijkstra, thank you for the report. Could you, please, specify which playlists are missing? Are these playlists created in Roon or were they imported form streaming service or are these XML or M3U playlists?
Thanks!

Hi Ivan,
Thank you for responding! I had several playlists (10 or so) and the biggest was called “favorites Ron”. They were all created with Roon and were numbers of Tidal and Qobus and around 300 for the list called favorites Ron. It cost me a lot of time to collect them so it would be nice if you can recover them!
Thank you.
Regards,
Ron Dijkstra
Hello Ian, do you think you can recover the files?
Thank you.

Ron Dijkstra
Hi, @Ron_Dijkstra, sorry for the delay. Could you, please, provide a screenshot from your Playlists browser in Roon? In the meantime I will request a diagnostics report from your Roon Core.
Thanks!

Hi Ian, I can not make a screenshot because after the core upgrade I needed to also upgrade roon remote or it would not connect and now I do not see the playlists anymore…regards,
Ron Dijkstra
same issue here all my playlists are gone expect the ones set up on Qobuz…hope there is a fix otherwise a huge loss…
Maybe a restore from a recent backup.
Unfortunately I do not have a back up…
Can you use the 1.8 back up for the 2.0 version? And how would you go about doing that? Thank you for any insight you might have.
Hi Humberto,
No, after I upgraded to Roon core 2.0 on my Imac the remote app 1.8 did not work/recognized the 2.0 core/server and forced me to also upgrade roon remote to 2.0
I have the same issue; playlist on roon gone, playlists on tidal i can still see and use.

Hi Humberto, although I reported this for me very important issue some time ago I had no answer from you back. Only questions. When can you give me an answer and is it possible to find my play lists in your back up. Please take this very serious and treat urgently. I am a long and loyal customer to roon running it on high end equipment.
Thank you.

Hi, when do I get an answer to my question? Why is nothing happening on your site? Please escalate my question.
Thank you.
Ron Dijkstra
Restore a Roon backup. Since you don’t have one, there is not much you can do.
OK. So why do you not tell me this a week ago? But I can’t restore the backup because I can not down grade.
Nine days ago you said you don’t have a backup. If you have one, you can do a restore and see if you get your playlists back. Backups of your Roon database don’t care what version you are on.
PS: I’m a Roon customer, so please stop with the abusive language.
Hi @Ron_Dijkstra ,
Apologies for the delay, we’re still catching up on our queues since the 2.0 release. I took a look over your account and noticed something that might be the issue: it looks like you installed RoonServer and Roon on the same iMac Core.
If you go to Roon Settings → General → Disconnect and then on the “Choose your Core” screen you press “Use this PC”, do you see your playlists again?
Please also ensure that you create a backup of your Roon database after you regain access if you don’t have any backup schedule set yet. I hope this helps, do let us know, thanks!
Hi,
Yes this worked!! I can see them again!
Thank you!
