Lost "USB" output to Lindemann Musicbook

It was working perfectly. Amazing in fact. Very little setup required. But then I changed some network cables, screwed up the setup, but it’s fine now, Lindemann plays through NAS and all is good. Except.

The SonicTransporter and microrendu have been neutered.

2 hours countless reboots and I’ve scratched all the hair off my head and I still can’t get this combo to output USB.

I’ve been through every setting I can think of and maybe screwing with crap I shouldn’t need to be screwing with but - I’m desperate.

I know I should see USB on the path but I only see ALSA. The Lindemann disappeared. All by itself the Lindemann is playing, beautifully in fact (review to come - this si one very special machine) but I wanted to extract every last breath of music out of the Musicbook, and was with Sonore installed.

Any help would be appreciated. I’m pissed I couldn’t fix it myself :rage:

I just received 2 CAT7 double shielded cables in the mail. Plugged them into the network switch to Transporter then MR to same network switch. Bingo.

There was IMHO was nothing wrong with the 2 former generic Catxx cables, but it works now.

FYI I’m one of those who knows cables make a difference not that these did in my short listening period. But a test will ensue. Anyone got a Vodka I can try? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

After changing out a few cables to CAT7 I’m again not able to establish a handshake to the Lindemann DSD. Reboots on all devices proved futile.

There’s got to be a secret decoder ring method to alleviate this pain.

Help!
